Plaza de la Constitucion, Fuengirola's main square is beautifully decorated at Christmas with colourful lights and bright ornamentation. In the summer, during the annual town Fair, the square is again gaily adorned and the whole town participates in the street celebrations. The narrow, pedestrian streets leading off of the main square hold a multitude of discoveries for those willing to explore. Another of the town's main attractions is, naturally, the long stretch of sandy beaches that run from the Sohail Castle to the west and Torreblanca to the east. Everything you could want or need is readily accessible in Fuengirola, and often just a short walk away.
The area, known for its magnificent horses, offers horseback riding for both the expert and the beginner at Rancho El Rengo. Riding lessons are available, as well as organized treks around the local countryside and along the dry riverbed. Afterwards, you can satisfy your hunger and thirst at the bar/restaurant on the grounds.
Fuengirola also boasts excellent golf courses as it is situated right in the heart of the golfing territory of the Costa del Golf. Water sports are popular and the marina provides opportunity for jet skiing, boating and fishing.
Fuengirola enjoys an average of 320 days of sunshine a year, making it the perfect sunny destination.
